Function Outputs a number
Nearest C4D equivalent Xpresso Constant node

This node simply outputs a number. The main use for it is if you are using the same value many times in a node tree. Instead of changing the number in all the nodes whenever you want to edit it, use this node and link it to all the required numeric inputs (which are often labelled 'Fac'). Then you only need to edit the number once.

You can also use this node to obtain the current scene time in seconds or frames. To do this, see the page How To: Get the Scene Time.

Note: a * symbol next to the name indicates the parameter also has an input port. A # symbol indicates that the parameter can only be changed with an input node, not in the node itself.

A number. Note that you can edit it but there is no input port.

The numeric output.
